LAKPUE DRUG, INC. (LDI) is a corporation engaged in the importation and distribution of finished veterinary products. Established in August 1986, it currently holds its present office at No. 56 20th Avenue, Murphy, Cubao, Quezon City and is duly registered under the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Bureau of Foods and Drugs (BFAD) and the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) as Veterinary Drug Importer / Distributor, Veterinary Drug Trader and Veterinary Drug Exporter.
LDI started its distribution with several veterinary product lines ranging from antibiotics, dewormers, vitamin – mineral supplements and disinfectants for Poultry and Swine raisers all over the country. In the late 1989, the company started to expand its business to include importation as well as distribution of fighting cock products (ranging from antibiotics, vitamins to conditioning aids).
With the enactment of the Generics Law in 1998, LDI ventured into local toll – manufacturing and became one of the first companies to provide quality generic veterinary products to the local market.
Through the years, the company has expanded its market through the introduction of two (2) swine bacterins, one (1) large animal vaccine as well as the importation of quality poultry vaccines. These new developments were further complemented with the establishment of LDI’s diagnostic laboratory. With high quality facilities, LDI is able to provide complementary technical veterinary services such as microbiology, serology, necropsy, bacterial isolation and antibiotic sensitivity testing. With new products and support services, clients are continuously helped in meeting their need to maintain farm productivity.
In addition to its goal of promoting animal health and productivity, Lakpue Drug Inc., also intensified its commitment to the gamefowl industry. Hence in 1997, LDI spearheaded and gave birth to the Philippine Cocking School (PCS). With the objective of putting up a school for cockers and boost interest in cockfighting, every interested cocker is now provided a fair chance to be acquainted with sport “SABONG”, its breeding techniques and the chance to meet the big time Sabungeros and American breeders on equal footing. PCS serves as a means for LDI to course its laboratory service activities, such as ambulatory clinics, seminars, workshops, and derbies.
